At Emma B Speech Therapy, we're passionate about helping young people achieve their potential. Every child is unique, so we believe in delivering bespoke therapy based on individual interests and strengths. We also know that collaboration is key, so we prioritise working closely with parents/carers and schools.

I am extremely passionate about supporting the communication skills of children and young people and believe everyone should have a confident voice, whether they sign, speak, use symbols, or an electronic device.

Since that time I have worked for three NHS Trusts, helping to support the communication skills of young people 2-18 years of age in a variety of mainstream and specialist settings. I set up Emma B Speech Therapy in 2022, so that I could better support children and families as well as help my local community.
Communication is a vital skill that many of us take for granted. Everyone deserves to communicate freely, effectively and confidently, which is why I’m passionate about delivering fun, meaningful and effective support that makes a difference. My ethos is: connection first, always, so I believe in providing child-led and strengths-based care. I am also a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner, passionate about advocating for my neurodivergent clients.
Since qualifying as a SLT, I have achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Autism and have gained experience working with secondary-aged pupils, some with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. I am a certified Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) clinician, and have a keen interest in supporting Gestalt Language Processors (GLPs) and working with young people who may have Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) - better described as a 'Persistent Drive for Autonomy'.

I will support your child anywhere and everywhere - school, preschool, home, sensory clinic, the park - whichever environment is felt to be the most appropriate and beneficial for your child.
This year, I have also joined forces with Achieve Occupational Therapy in order to bring joint OT and SALT support sessions to St Neots. You can find out more about Achieve and the benefits of Occupational Therapy here:

Our son absolutely loves his sessions with Emma and eagerly watches out of the window for her to arrive every week with her amazing array of toys! Nothing is too much trouble and she will go above and beyond to help and support you and your family. Thanks to Emma’s extensive knowledge, every session we learn more and build ways to support our son’s communication skills. The love Emma has for her works shines through in her continual positivity.
Thank you Emma for all of your support so far!”
"It's been a blast working with Emma from Year 6 to Year 7. I've had a lot of fun and she's really helped me to understand my lessons and what to do."
